The University of Alabama seeks a full-time NAGPRA (Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act) Program Manager within The University of Alabama Museums, a museum system consisting of five public museums, including Moundville Archaeological Park, one of the most significant Native American heritage sites in the nation. UA Museums also includes a central Department of Museum Research and Collections, and the UA Office of Archaeological Research. The University cares for the remains of thousands of Native American ancestors and cultural artifacts and is committed to full compliance with NAGPRA. This position will manage the University’s NAGPRA program ensuring compliance through consultations, repatriations, and other activities.
