The Department of Anthropology at Florida Atlantic University invites applications for a non-tenure earning Visiting Assistant Professor position in archaeology for the 2021-2022 academic year. Geographic area and specialization are open, but candidates exploring themes of current interest such as, for example, race, gender, migration, slavery, inequality, indigenous archaeology, community archaeology, settler colonialism, environmental change, and ethnicity will be given special attention.  In addition, applications reflecting expertise in new techniques and technologies will receive special consideration.
