The Arkansas Archeological Survey invites applications for a permanent, full-time position as State Archeologist. The State Archeologist works to study and protect archeological sites in Arkansas, to preserve and manage information and collections from those sites, and to communicate what we learn to the people of Arkansas. The State Archeologist is involved in all aspects of public archeology from site reporting to liaison with the public and with local, state, and federal agencies.
