The Tennessee Department of Transportation is currently accepting applications for two staff archaeologists. Both positions are based in Nashville at TDOT Headquarters and will be responsible for conducting and/or managing archaeological projects on a statewide basis. Successful candidates will meet the Secretary of the Interior's professional qualifications standards and have demonstrated experience leading archaeological fieldwork, analysis, and reporting in support of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Candidates must be able to work productively in a dynamic, team oriented, high volume office and work professionally with a variety of stakeholders. Proficiency in GIS preferred, but not required.
