Florida State University's Department of Anthropology is looking to hire an Associate Curator. The duties of this position are as follows: Maintain the FSU Department of Anthropology’s existing and future collections with modern curation protocols, including managing the ethnographic, archaeological, and teaching collections, and the collections documents; Make the collections accessible for study to faculty, students, and outside researchers; Build collaborative partnerships with other departments and programs across campus and the region; Create public access to the archaeological and ethnographic collections via traditional and digitally curated exhibits; Apply for external funding to assist in addressing issues of modern curation standards and practices including digitization for archival, curation, and integration projects and initiatives; Develop and implement a detailed NAGPRA policy for the Department; Teach courses in the Department as needed.
