The Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Loyola University Chicago (LUC) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, for academic year 2022-2023. The department seeks an archaeologist with expertise in environmental archaeology. Research foci may include, but are not limited to, political ecology, ontology, and inequality, including unequal resource distribution, ecological diversity/uniformity, and health. We are especially interested in candidates who collaborate with descendant communities and/or engage with applied projects. Applicants with expertise in one or several of the following are preferred: GIS, 3D laser scanning, photogrammetry, and other digital applications in archaeology.
