In 2014, the Southeastern Archaeological Conference established the Charles Hudson Award to be given in a competition based on proposals. The award shall be used to encourage younger scholars to do good work and to participate in and be members of SEAC.

The Charles Hudson fund now stands at $15,989.57 thanks to an outstanding gift of $9,000 from one of his former colleagues!
